Our Seating Specialists have been training extensively on the clinical rationale behind the design and use of clinical, therapeutic seating but are not clinicians.
They have been trained extensively by Martina Tierney OT on the assessment process, the features of the Seating Matters chairs and are able to give advice on the Seating Matters products and services. In addition, we do a rolling program of continuous development which includes manual handling training, study of the latest clinical literature and research and attendance at education workshops to further our knowledge.
During a Seating Assessment, the Seating Specialist can explain the chair features and help you to decide on which features you wish to have. If you require specific medical advice however, you should consult with the relevant medical professional.
Our Seating Specialist does not provide medical or clinical advice, assessment, diagnosis, prescription or treatment and you must consult your local and national guidelines before taking action with regards to specific patients.
In addition, the assessment for your chair should not be interpreted as a predictor or guarantee of future clinical outcomes.
Seating Matters operate with a culture of continuous improvement. Therefore, we would love to hear how we can improve your experience from beginning to end. Let us know in the following survey: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/3VPK5S3.
