Our clinicial team at Seating Matters is made up of Occupational Therapists, Nurses, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy so we have a unique understanding of our patient needs when it comes to seating.
We are changing the world of healthcare seating and through this blog we are educating fellow clinicians with informational videos and how to articles, as well as sharing key industry news, and highlighting research to support evidence based practice.
Olivia Tierney OT
Olivia Tierney graduated from the Ulster University with a first class honours degree in Occupational Therapy. She has worked on numerous research projects in her specialist interest area of seating, posture and pressure management. Olivia has furthered her study to post graduate level, gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Advancing Practice in Occupational Therapy. This postgraduate qualification involved an advanced study in complex seating for physically disabled adults and pressure injury prevention and management for Occupational Therapists. She has disseminated a number of Seating Matters research projects at national and international conferences and presents the certified unique course “Seating Matters: Seating and Postural Management Training” endorsed by the College of Occupational Therapists in the UK.
